The permaculture music project objectives are:
We want to grow and nurture a wide range of permaculture music, making it easy to access and enjoy. If you have created or know of other PermaMusic please let us know via our Contact page. And here’s an initial selection of PermaMusic for you:
We are asking you to help us raise $30,550 through the Chuffed crowdfunder platform to: a) train young people in the Kakuma and Nakivale refugee settlements in Kenya and Uganda and develop permaculture learning and demonstration farms there; b) create a first PermaYouth album, a Perma Reggae album and translate the Formidable Veg Rhymers Manual to Spanish; c) improve the design & functioning of this website as a platform, inspiration and connecting point for permaculture music; d) and more!
Donate now on our Crowdfunder page
Direct support from this project will enable more people – young people in particular – to be trained, inspired and engaged in permaculture through more courses, demonstration sites and more music. In particular, we want to develop ways to involve young people in permaculture in refugee communities, in urban communities around the world, and who are on their own learning journeys to find their positive purpose and path in life, wherever they are in the world.
The PMP website will make a wide range of education resources available to support people who are practising permaculture in their lives, and to support and encourage permaculture courses, teacher training and permaculture learning and demonstration projects around the world. It will also signpost them to other useful resources and organisations.
We will create a short guide to Permaculture Music, with short videos telling the stories and describing creative processes behind the examples of PermaMusic created by this project, including examples of how they can be used educationally.

We want to use this website, a Permaculture Music group on Mighty Networks and a Bancamp page to enable musicians and songwriters to collaborate from anywhere around the world in the creation and sharing of PermaMusic, whether they are as individual artists, bands or involved in music production.
If you’ve got digital skills or network building skills that can help us create this ‘PermaMusic Web’ and are happy to donate your time for free, please contact us via the Permaculture Music group on Mighty Networks.
The permaculture music project has been initiated and is supported by a team including Permaculture South Australia, The Tropical Permaculture Guidebook & PermatilGlobal, the Formidible Vegetable Sound System, IPEN (International Permaculture Education Network), Morag Gamble & PermaYouth, Rakesh Rootsman, Permaculture Magazine.
